Mission statement

The aim of the Continued Education in Podiatric Medical Acupuncture and musculoskeletal subscription is to bring together like-minded podiatrists who want to advance their knowledge and clinical skills in the use of acupuncture, soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilisation, sports medicine, and lower limb biomechanics. We aim to raise your knowledge, skills, profile, and credibility as an MSK podiatrist in the private sector and NHS.

The CPD in Podiatric Medical Acupuncture and MSK subscription will provide a wide range of basic to advanced CPD training to extend your scope of practice as a podiatric MSK specialist.

The CPD in Podiatric Medical Acupuncture and MSK subscription will provide evidence-based online CPD training and discounted practical workshops in lower limb biomechanics, soft tissue manipulation and joint mobilisation of the lower limb for its members. It will provide intermediate to advanced training in medical acupuncture that will address a range of musculoskeletal and associated disorders of the lower limb. 

Monthly subscription 

The CPD in Podiatric Medical Acupuncture and MSK subscription is a monthly subscription training programme. New course information, videos, case studies and contents are constantly added on monthly basis. 

Entry requirements

Registered podiatrists with an interest in acupuncture and the management of MSK lower limb disorders who has completed a recognised basic training in medical acupuncture. 

Objective

• To provide a detailed understanding of the underlying cause, assessment and diagnosis of a range of MSK conditions and guide you through the process of selecting the most effective acupuncture points to address the cause and not just the symptoms. 
• To improve your understanding (western medical) of the physiological effect of a range of commonly used classical acupuncture points so that you can easily select the most effective acupoint for the condition under investigation. 
• To build your confidence in acupuncture point location and needling technique.
• To promote the highest standards of clinical practice in acupuncture and dry needling in a variety of clinical settings (musculoskeletal, gait analysis, soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilisation, sports and exercise medicine,  neurological disorders,  anxiety, insomnia, etc.).
• To promote the inter change of professional skills and ideas between individual practitioners through online training and workshops.
• To assist our members to promote acupuncture and dry needling and grow their business.
